We meet at The Teapot on Wickham Market near Woodbridge in Suffolk. After fitting and trying out our bikes, we set off along a quiet lane before heading offroad across wild meadows.

Crossing the River Deben via a narrow footbridge, we pedal through shady woodland and on through the village of Campsea Ashe. We can pause here to browse round the fascinating Ashe Antiques Warehouse.

A short cycle from here takes us to the peaceful church with its beautiful stained glass windows including one by Arts and Crafts artist Henry Holiday depicting Faith and Hope.

Back on our bikes we follow the lanes through Suffolk farmland and woods down to Marlesford Farmcafe. Here we can relax and enjoy a delicious home cooked lunch using local ingredients.

After lunch you may choose to linger in the farmshop or pop into the nearby antique shop. Our route then takes us into the little village of Marlesford, passing delightful Suffolk cottages surrounded by traditional cottage gardens.

We cross the ford, pass through Hacheston and along quiet country roads appreciating the wide open views and those famous Big Skies.

Then we coast down to Easton village, known for its long 'crinkle crankle' wall. Returning along leafy byways and over a hump-backed bridge we complete our circular journey by entering Wickham Market on the opposite side of the village from where we started.
